Last week we went to the United Kingdom for the second time in a little over a month. This time we went to the London e-Commerce Expo to present Sonata Retail. The fair took place at the Olympia National Hall and it gathered all the agents involved in online sales, from providers and networks to retailers looking to increase online sales. Over 180 exhibitors gathered on 1 and 2 October, including leaders in the market of e-commerce, mobile commerce, mobile marketing, the mobile industry, shipping services and payment and security systems.
The mobile media was given special prominence, highlighting the need to educate consumers for them to shop directly from their smartphones. Having efficient, easy-to-use tools that help advertisers, sell digital downloads. Over 50 conferences and seminars, distributed in four different theatres, covered these subjects to achieve success in eCommerce strategy.
The introduction of Sonata Retail by TAPTAP was warmly welcomed. The ability of any retailer to segment potential customers by area and let them know about its services and promotions considerably increases the market share for the retailer as it is able to attract customers from their smartphones directly to brick-and-mortar businesses.
This is the seventh year that the London eCommerce Expo is held and, over this time, it's become the most important ecommerce event in the United Kingdom. This year there's been an emphasis on the transition of the offline and online worlds as a business strategy for the survival of all types of retailers.
